Great news!

The Midwifery Modernization Act was passed by the NY Senate last night! The vote was unanimous and no one debated against it :) Take that, ACOG! This means that access to midwifery care is available to all NY women, and midwives no longer need a written practice agreement. Woot woot!!! I've been on cloud nine since last night!
