I am doing ok.
At my last OB appt, he told me my blood pressure was high, and he had notice a few high readings in pervious appts. He was diagnosing me with "pregnancy induced hypertension". Bummer!

Right now he is monotoring it,and doing growth checks on the baby at every appt. He will also be giving me steroid shots to help her lungs mature, since the high blood pressure could lead to a early deliverly.

I am so worried about this! All my babies come 3-4 weeks early. One baby had just a 2 day stay in the NICU,but my last DS had to stay for a week. It was heartbreaking leaving him in the hospital, and it was hell to have 3 other kids, and run back, and forth to the hospital, also it was Thanksgiving week.

Also, this is my 5th baby....I have no idea how that dugger lady had 19 kids...b/c this pregnancy is so much worse then my others. I can barely walk by the end of the day.

Sounds like ALOT of stress on you!! Holy cow woman! When will the steroid shots beign? Sounds like such scary stuff. You have prolly heard this a thousand times, but will this be your last baby or will you be wanting more? I have been asked this and it's only baby #3 for us. I can relate to the growth check at every appointment, I have to due to my GD. It is nice to see the baby, but at the same time a bit nerve racking. I sure hope things can get easier for you hun. xoxo

It has been quiet. I've been good, just busy with work and not much to post about. Brian and I finally agreed on a name. I'm relieved :). Baby is very active!! I don't remember feeling movements on the outside this early last time. I've been getting strong kicks that I feel outside for about 2 weeks. My next appointment is Friday, nothing exciting though :)

I've just been super busy with the kids and not a lot of online time.

Had an appt today, passed my GD test, up only 9lbs total (which is shocking; I've always gained 25), blood pressure was good, urine looked good, and I'm measuring 2 weeks big. Everything is pretty normal. I'm being referred to a physical therapist for my constant hip pain; hopefully I can get that under control soon. Otherwise everything is nice and normal and boring. I go back the 27th of August and he'll schedule a growth ultrasound then. Today she was head down but that could still change I guess.

Oh and we agreed on a name....our little girl will be named Margaret after my Great Grandma who is 99 but will go by Maggie :D

Tiffany I had PIH with my first pregnancy and carried him until 37w1d, when they induced me. He never had any trouble at all, by my swelling and BP was out of control. I know it's hard with other kids but try to rest as much as humanly possible and eliminate an un-necessary drama. I also reduced my salt content, which may or may not have helped. I was actually put on bedrest that pregnancy from 29weeks until D-Day.

So I thought I'd share my experience; baby was perfectly healthy but make sure you take care of yourself. I also bought a home blood pressure cuff so I could check it throughout the day; I knew it was elevated because I'd get a bad sudden headache/and or have trouble focusing (with my eyes, not attention, lol).

GL hon!

I've just been super busy, contracting quite a bit and uncomfortable but still manageable.

This was my last day of VBS and I was the snack coordinator - I did more work and for longer hours than any other volunteer I can think of, and with less sleep to boot. The standing, salt, and sleep deprivation has given me wickedly high weight this week and I am hoping it will lessen a bit. It was fun but I am SO glad it is over, physically it is simply too demanding right now.

I passed my glucose test with flying colors, even a bit on the low side, and my blood pressure has been beautiful. I really have nothing to complain about, other than pelvic pain and general soreness at the end of the day. It's manageable, but not particularly enjoyable.

Amen! Everynight my hips are killing me, my back has spasams(sp) and my feet feel like they are going to fall off. My boy's weren't this rough on me. Hope the contractions have subsided. I end up with a few a day anymore. I think it's because she is sitting so low on me. The boys were up in my ribs by now. Take it easy everybody!

things are going well here.

My hernia has been feeling much better now that my belly has gotten bigger, so the uterus is protecting the organs, thankfully! that was a major pain up until about 5 or 6 months...

This pregnancy is totally flying by! I can't believe how far along we all are now!

That is great news about the hernia! If you can't get it repaired right now, the least you can do is not be in pain, right?

I agree, for the most part this has been a fast year!

Feeling better now, but I lost a few pounds from being so sick to my stomach and the doctor wants me to have another sonogram today just to check for growth and whatnot. I'm sure everything is fine and it will be great to see my little girl again! I'll try to post pics later tonight - appointment is at 1:40.

No pics, but all is well! She's measuring around 4lb 2oz at this point, 70th percentile for growth. The doctor says I'll likely have at least a 7lber if I make it all the way to the end. And she's already head down!

I didn't get any pics you can really decipher... her head was down in my pelvis and her face was towards my butt. I did see her hands waving all over the place though... too cute.

7 pounder is good! :) I'm concerned mine is going to be huge because my last appointment he was already weighing over 2lbs, average for that time was 1 1/2lbs. Of course, I take that with a grain of salt because I don't think it's completely accurate. To hear my ILs talk, this baby is going to be 10lbs and look just like my husband

Almost 3 weeks ago Scarlett was measuring 2#'s 14 oz. Weight makes me nervous, only because DS1 was 8#'s 7oz which isn't bad, and Ds2 was 9#'s 11 1/2 oz. He had breathing problems in the hospital and a heart murmer for 6 mths. I know that most of his problems were because my endocrinologist wasn't taking charge of my blood sugars like he should have been. but still.. Sorry to hijack, sounds like it was a great appointment! Sorry you didn't get any pics =( But you are so close to the end, you wont be needing pics ;)
